TAFE

If I decided to study at TAFE I would start at a certificate three or/and four -depending on the course- and then go onto study with a deploma or higher.

IT Support

Courses I'd require to study would be as follows:

  3. Certificate 4 Alt: Information Technology (Industry Placement Pathway)

Networking / Cyber Sercurity

Courses I'd require to study would be as follows:

  1. Certificate 4: Cyber Sercurity
  2. Certificate 4: Program in Informatoin Technology (Networking)
  3. Deploma: Information Technology Networking
  4. Deploma: Information Technology Networking/ Bachelor of Information Technology - Flinders Uni Pathway
  5. Deploma: Information Technology Networking/Bachelor of Information Technology (Network and Cybersystems) - Flinders Uni Pathway

Software Development

Courses I'd require to study would be as follows:

University

Universities in Adelaide are; University of Adelaide, University of South Australia and Flinders University. University of Adelaide and SA are both located in the city CBD area where as Flinders University is located in the South of the City.

University of Adelaide

Bachelor of Computer Science

For the Bachelor of Computer Science I could major in Artifical intelligence, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data science and Distibuted systems and networking.
I would major in Computer science, Distributed systems and networking or Software Engineering.

Bachelor of Computer Science (Advanced)

For the Bachelor of Computer Science I could major in Artifical intelligence, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data science and Distibuted systems and networking.
I would major in Computer science, Distributed systems and networking or Software Engineering.
Ways it differencates from the standard Bachelor of Computer Science is that it is ranked higher, also it has AI and Machine learning courses not available elsewhere in South Australia. I'd require to maintain a high grade point average to say in the degree as it is highly competitive.

Bachelor of Information Technology

For Bachelor of Information Technology I would major in creating secure, complext IT systems. Protecting networks, data and software systems from attacks and unlawful access, using enterprise tools and AI tools for productivity, using cutting-edge data analysis techniques to large sets of data.

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Software)

For Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Software) I could major in Defence systems and Smart technologies. I could also Minor in Entrepreneurship.
Defence systems could mean working on things such as; visaul and situational awareness systems; militray communications and networking; rardar and electronic countermeasures; cybersecurity; marine engineering; and autonomous systems.
Smart technologies would mean working creating safer, more efficent services and living enviroments, providing faster, more ffordable and lowe-risk access to basic needs and enrich people's experinces of their environment. Example of this was the 2016-2017 Smart Technologies majors contributed to development of the University's driverless BMW car.



University of South Australia

Bachelor of Information Technology

For the Bachelor of Information Technolgoy I would have to major in two areas of interest out of; software development, 3D Animation, Visual effects, Mobile Applications, Networking, Business systems, Cyber Security, Data analytics, Games.
I would most likely pick Business systems and Cyber Security or Data analytics.

Bachelor of Information Technology(Networking and Cybersecurity)

For the Bachelor of Information Technolgoy(Networking and Cybersecurity) I would start with core courses in information technology. This would give solid grounding in IT, netowrk, database and programming fundamentals, and system analysis. I would then move onto the major into Networking and Cybersecurity. This prepares me to sit industry certification excams in CISCO,CCNA and CCNP.

Bachelor of Information Technology(Software Development)

For the Bachelor of Information Technology(Software Development) I would start my core courses in information technology. This would give a grounding in areas such as; IT, networking, database and programming fundamentalsm and system requirements. Then I would major in Software Development languages, including HTML, C++, Java, Python and in cloud based applications.



Flinders University

Bachelor of Information Technology

For Bachelor of Information Technology I would study core fundamentals in computing, networks and cybersecurity, computer programming, professional skills, database modelling, and software engineering. An elective topic in mathematics or academic and professional numeracy, data sicence or biostatistics and a elective topic across the university.
Then in second year I would goon to study core topics in web-based systems, application development, and computer networks and operating systems. Then also a selection of computer, science, engineering and mathematics option topics, also an elective like the year beforehand.
Third year would be studying enterprise cloud systems, interactive computer systems, and project management fro engineering and science. Then a selection of computer, science, engineering and mathematics option topics, finally an IT practicum and workplace preparation or an IT project and a selection of computer science, engineering and mathematics option topics.

Bachelor of Information Technology (Network and Cybersecurity Systems)

For Bachelor of Information Technology (Network and Cybersecurity Systems) I would study core topics in dundamentals of computing programming, electronics, introduction to networks and cybersecurity and professional skills. Also in first year there is topics in mathematics, mathematics fundamentals or data science.
Second year would be core topics in software engineering, computer programming, computer networks and opterating systems, web-based systems development, and cybersecurity. Then there is also a selection of computing elective topics to do.
Third year is core topics in enterprise information security, centerprise cloud systems, network engineering, and project management for engineering and science, Then an IT project and a selection of computing elective topics, or an IT practium and workplace preparation.

Bachelor of Computer Science

For Bachelor of Computer Science I would study core topics in key concepts, terminology and skills of computing, informaton and communication technology. Then a introduction to computer programming and introductory topics in electronics and mathematics.
Second year would be an intermidiate computer programming topic and core topics in software engineering. Study in computer mathematics, and computer networks and opterating systems, also a selection of topics in areas such as intelligent systemsm engineering and game design.
Third year would be a complex computer programming topic, topics in the theory and practice of computation, enterprise cloud systems and interactive computer systems. Study in advanced database techniques and concepts, a topic in engineering and science project management. This would be finshed up with a computer science project, 12 weeks of work experience or a selection of topics in business, computing, engineering and digital media.
